Mag Tagalog Tayo is a Filipino cultural awareness advocacy group founded by passionate, Philippine-born educators and parents based in Los Angeles, CA.

Why Choose Us?

Practice makes perfect! Mag Tagalog Tayo aims to practice simple and everyday words that go beyond the conversational "Kamusta ka" or "Mabuhay". The program is designed for Filipino children living all around the world but is also suitable for any person of any age wanting to learn the language from a child's perspective.

Mag Tagalog Tayo's learning modules have been created with child development principles and best practices in mind. We are big supporters of the Play Matters! movement, hence, we have incorporated the play aspect into our classes. It is very important for us that children have fun while learning as they enjoy their summer.

We look forward to having your child join our immersive Filipino experience.

About Us

Mutya Bose

Founder

MagTagalog Tayo is a Filipino cultural awareness advocacy group founded by passionate, Philippine-born educators and parents based in Los Angeles, CA. Our goal started with trying to give Filipino children a strong foundation for our national language. Our main founder, Mutya Bose, has worked with children in various fields like TV and multimedia. She completed Child Development courses at Mt SAC and taught at the La Puente and Pomona school districts. Mutya first created Tagalog learning materials in 2011 for her family and friends so they can teach their own children Tagalog.

After 10 years, plus a pandemic, the MagTagalog Tayo program has undergone numerous revisions to ensure top-quality, culturally-relevant, fun, and age-appropriate lessons and activities for our children.
